Today is Isaac's first school orientation. We were running late as usual and were the last to enter the classroom. Isaac was excited and very happy until right before we walked into the classroom that I told him I had to wait for him in another building and would pick him up later. He immediately got upset and started whipping. So I asked him, "Look around, who else is crying?" Isabel was super quick to answer "Nobody!!" Haha she made me laugh. Then we saw Monira and Alan already sitting at the table drawing. They both looked very happy. So I put Isaac at the same table. Knowing several other kids had helped Isaac to settle down. I quickly took a few shots and was "kicked out" by the teacher. Yeah I was the last parent to leave the classroom.
Isabel and I spent the next next and a half in the school hall mingling with other parents and little kids. It's good that I know at least seven other moms from mother's group or play group over the last few years. We chatted and chatted and followed the school captain for a tour around the school. It's a small school which is the size I prefer. Mark and I have been to the parents orientation two weeks ago and we both had really good impression. So I hope Isaac will like it.
Isaac was very happy when I picked him up. I met his year six buddy John who is a lovely blonde boy. Isaac told me he had a good time and he liked school. And he promised me he wouldn't cry next time.
Now I will just to organise his uniform, shoes, bag, socks, and so on.
