Christmas Day 2008

Christmas Eve, we had a quite relaxing day. Hyewon, Nick, Lucas and Annabel were coming to dinner, but I wasn't stressed out at all because I ordered the most of the food from the shops. I only needed to do a salad and fruit platter. It also made a huge difference that I was off work on holidays since two days before Christmas Eve. Normally we had to work till mid-day Christmas Eve and rushed home to prepare dinner which was pretty stressful.

We had a wonderful evening eating, chatting, and sipping champagne. Four kids had a good time playing as usual, although we did lose some Christmas tree decorations thanks to Annabel's curiosity.

When the visitors left and we put the kids to bed, it was 11:30pm and Mark "demanded" me to make the fried noodles for the next day. I wasn't willing at all as I was sleepy and a bit dizzy from the alcohol consumption. With his help, I managed to do the cooking duty.

Christmas Day morning, Nan and Opa arrived at 8am. We opened the presents first, then enjoyed a delicious breakfast cooked by Mark. We then drove to Karin's house and spent the day there with other relatives.

This year Isaac liked all his presents and played with all of them. He kept saying "I love dinosaurs, I still love Lightening McQueen, I love remote control car too!" He also got a scooter from Nan and Opa and he seemed to like it too. We are yet to get to the park and practice riding it. Isabel got a new bike, a doll house, a Barbie car, and a quite big cradle and baby set. So far she mainly played with the doll house and Isaac's cars. She doesn't seem to be interested in the cradle and baby set. It's for the older girls anyway. Hope she will like it in the new few years, if they haven't broken it by then.

Mark and I scored well too this year with many presents. :)

Why not? You should go and get yourself something nice!

Christmas and birthday are always my chance to score some nice presents. :)

We don't buy each other presents either. We just buy stuff for ourselves that we want and then wrap it and put it under the tree :)
